Bradie’s 6 months, More Potty Training Issues

Bradie had her 6 month checkup on Tuesday. She weighs 19.5 pounds. She’s not off the charts with her weight anymore, and her height is almost in the same percentile so I guess that means she’s porportional. She doesn’t have the rolls in her arms the way Brenna did but her thighs are definitely impressive.

Brenna is standing beside me on the desk wearing no pants–an experiment we’re trying today that has been successful so far. She was in the kitchen a while ago and ran into the office to the potty and pee-peed!! We did the pee pee dance and she got a lollipop. I can’t believe how much she has changed in the past month. I believe she’s grown some for one thing. The best thing is that her speech has improved greatly. Still not too many sentences that others could understand, but she tries to say lots of words. She has also started cleaning up after herself (without even being asked sometimes!!) She sings her little song that they sing at preschool–not sure what it is. I need to ask.

Bradie has slept better in the last 2 nights than she has in a couple weeks. I thought she was waking in the night and not going back to sleep immediately because I was feeding her solid foods. It was pretty consistent, but she started waking last week even if I didn’t feed her a solid at dinner so I thought I’d try again. She seems to be doing ok with it. She even drank a whole bunch of apple juice from a sippy cup. She does suck her thumb after every bite though! I’m trying to cherish these baby times but it’s so hard.
